Gifting without a list. A drama in three acts.
Act 1
The Scarf Summit
Three aunts, three scarves. All beige. All “just spotted it in the shop, totally on a whim”.
Act 2
The Phone Tree
Grandpa calls for the fourth time: “What did the kid want again?” By now, the kid doesn’t know either.
Act 3
The Secret Group
WhatsApp group “Presents (SECRET!!)”. Members: everyone. Including the birthday kid.
Three steps to your wishlist. Zero drama.
Step 1
Create a wishlist
Create a wishlist for free and add everyone who’s taking part: Grandma, Grandpa, friends. The dog can join too, if he has wishes.
Step 2
Share the wishlist
Everyone gets their own link, e.g. via WhatsApp. No sign-up, no password.
Step 3
Gift in secret
Everyone adds their wishes and taps “I’ll get this” on the others’. The person receiving the gift sees: nothing. Nothing at all.
For family and friends. No “how did this work again?”.
No password
One link is enough. Tap it, done.
No app
Runs in the browser that’s already on your phone.
No account for guests
Only the person creating the list signs up. Everyone else just taps their link.
Plain words
“I’ll get this” and “I bought it” instead of jargon.
A wishlist for every occasion, even “just because”:
- 🎂 Birthday
- 🎄 Christmas
- 💍 Wedding
- 🎒 First day of school
- 🐣 Easter
- ✨ Just because
Questions about the wishlist
Does it cost anything?
No, the wishlist is free. Only people who create lists need an account. Everyone else simply joins via their link.
How do I share the wishlist with the others?
Under “People”, add everyone who’s taking part, including yourself. Under “Invite” you’ll find a ready-made message with each person’s personal link: copy it, send it via WhatsApp or share it.
Can the person receiving the gift see who’s getting what?
No. For their own wishes, they can’t see whether someone is already getting something. The server filters that out. And gift ideas that others add for them under “Giving” are completely hidden from them.
What if two people want to get the same thing?
They can’t. Whoever taps “I’ll get this” first has the wish. For big wishes you can chip in together: if it’s a group gift, everyone taps “I’m in”.
Does Grandma need to sign up?
No. Only the person who creates a list needs an account. Everyone else simply opens their link.
Do I need an app?
No. The wishlist runs in the browser on phones, tablets and computers.
Which occasions is the wishlist for?
Any occasion where several people give gifts: Christmas, birthdays, weddings, the first day of school or Easter. The whole family fits on one list. Everyone has their own wishes, and everyone can see what’s still free for the others.
Bought. Wrapped. Nobody noticed a thing.
Get started now. Everyone else joins via their link. And the little parcel is already excited.
